This new private jet will fly you out Dubai

Imagine popping caviar in a king size bed while Take My Breath Away plays in the background. Top Gun is running on the 55" LED TV in front of you, and a soft light washes the room in fuschia pink. The windows are tinted black. Then, you press a button and a sky full of clouds opens outside, reminding you that you’re 40,000ft in the air. FIVE Hotels & Resorts has just launched their first private bizliner with this experience on offer. This aircraft is the first ever ACJ TwoTwenty, a new-age business jet conceptualised by Airbus in 2020. Think larger cabin space, improved connectivity among the clouds and longer range. Our three-hour flight took us to Oman and back, but one can charter the jet for 12 hours straight and cover 8,000km in a go. That's an easy trip from India to London with time to spare.

There's space for nine to sleep, with seats and a couch that all convert into beds.

With 16 seats, a lounge area and a master suite with an ensuite shower, the layout of the jet justifies its size. There's space for nine to sleep in there, with seats and a couch that all convert into beds. The real luxury here is that you don't have to choose. You could be on a business trip, entertaining guests and have your family by your side all at the same time. Each of the three cabins is sound proof with its own control panel. The aircraft can handle 4,000kg of baggage, so even if you had a full-house with 16 people, there's a generous amount of storage space. The team assists with special wheelchairs that fit in the aircraft, and if there's anyone with special medical conditions on board, you can inform them in advance to make necessary preparations such as stocking up with extra oxygen cylinders, carrying medical appliances or even rearranging the lounge area to make the trip comfortable.

The TVs also facilitate Zoom calls aided by super-fast WiFi.

As you’d expect from all things Dubai, the onboard experience is pure indulgence. The food and bar menu is customised to your tastes, as is the playlist. Our flight menu had a selection of canapes with Champagne, black caviar on blinis, artichokes in truffle cream cheese, puffs with ricotta cheese and basil and sinful chocolate petit fours. For a little extra, you can have anything from floral decorations to your favourite DJ playing for you.

The jet is peppered with 20 iPads Pros, which come loaded with streaming channels like Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV and reading and video apps. There are also two Roku TV boxes with over half a million movies and TV shows. The TVs also facilitate Zoom calls aided by super-fast WiFi, and there's a printer and scanner on board. Not too shabby, we think.
