Superdome rules for Saints games: Clear bags, vapes, banners | Saints | nola.com

The New Orleans Saints are suiting up to start the 2024 NFL season, and fans across the city are ready to make their way to the Caesars Superdome dressed in their black and gold.

Before you head out to attend the season opener on Sunday, it's important to double check the rules on what you are allowed to bring inside the stadium.

The Superdome, like all other stadiums that host NFL football games, follows the league's clear bag policy, limiting what types of bags and other gear fans are able to bring inside.

The Saints are set to host the Carolina Panthers, an NFC South rival, at noon.

To make games safer and make screenings to enter the game faster, only clear bags are allowed inside the Superdome for NFL games, unless they are small clutch bags that measure 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches or less, with or without a handle or strap.

Otherwise, bags brought into the stadium must follow these rules:

Fans are also allowed to bring items in a clear one-gallon-size plastic freezer bag.

Those who need to bring medical bags inside can have them checked at the gate.

In addition to the clear bag policies, the Superdome and the New Orleans Saints have a list of items that are prohibited inside the stadium.

Unlike some other events hosted at the Dome, banners are allowed, if they meet certain requirements. Banners must not be in poor taste, cannot block other fans or Superdome signage, are not allowed to mock teams and cannot be commercial in nature.
